August 26 — NQ Bullish — Sweep The Lows, Then Up

Still bullish, and back in alignment. We're inside a weekly Bullish FVG and a big daily bullish FVG — the long context is intact. Yesterday printed an inside candle, so expansion is due: expect today to be volatile. The path I want is a dip to sweep the PDL / sellside (~29,000), then a reversal back up toward the PDH (~29,480).Bearish early, bullish where it counts — I'm buying the reaction out of the sweep, not chasing the dip.

NQ 1W — Weekly — Still Inside A Weekly Bullish FVG

Nothing's changed up top: we're still sitting inside a weekly Bullish FVG, price holding in the body of it. That's a bullish array, and it keeps the whole picture long-context — this is still a place I'm looking for buys, not sells. As long as we're delivering inside this weekly gap, the higher timeframe is doing exactly what a bullish FVG should: absorbing the pullback and setting up the next leg.

Same story on the daily — we're inside a big daily bullish FVG, PDH above (~29,500) and PDL below (~29,000). The tell for today: yesterday printed an inside / intraday candle — it stayed coiled inside the prior range. After a day that consolidates like that, expansion is due, so I expect today to be volatile. Don't fight the volatility; use it. The range is defined; I want the reaction out of one of its edges.

NQ 1H — 1H — Sweep The Lows, Then Up

Here's the path I want: a dip down to sweep the PDL / sellside (~29,000) to grab the liquidity resting below, then a clean reversal back up toward the PDH (~29,480). Bearish-looking early, bullish where it matters. With bullish SMT firing and the weekly + daily FVGs at my back, the trade is the reversal OUT of that sweep — not chasing the dip lower and not fading the whole thing. Let the lows get taken, then buy the shift.

The One Thing To Respect

"Expect volatility" is a warning as much as a forecast. An inside candle coils energy, and when it releases it usually does so with a fast, convincing move in the wrong direction first — that's the sweep. The trap today is getting shaken out of the long thesis when price drives down into the PDL, or worse, flipping short right as the sellside gets taken. My job is the opposite: let the lows go, wait for the shift, and buy the reaction. The volatility is the setup, not the enemy — but only if I'm patient enough to let it complete instead of reacting to the first leg. And after yesterday, the standard is simple: clear head, A+ or nothing, no forcing.
