Discipline · Day 8 Of The 30-Day Reset

August 12 — Three Days Flat, Zero FOMO.

The narrative called the reach for buyside above — and that leg delivered: the London Highs / BSL got taken right at the open. What never came was the second half. Instead of a clean shift down toward the draw, the session turned into 90 minutes of chop — rotation inside the range, SMT with ES firing in both directions, and a retracement that never qualified as an entry. Third straight no-trade day.And the real win isn't on the chart: the old version of me doesn't make it three days without forcing something.

August 12 — buyside swept at the open, then chop with no qualifying entry
MNQ 1m · the BSL above got taken exactly as the narrative called. But the follow-through never organized — price rotated under the FP FVG with SMT firing both ways and a retracement that never became an entry
This is the hardest kind of no-trade day — harder than yesterday's one-way run. The first half of the plan was right: the buyside got taken, and a CISD printed at the high. Being right on that leg is exactly what tempts you to force the second one. But a sweep alone isn't a trade — the reversal needed clean displacement away from the level and a retracement into a PDA, and the market gave neither. It gave rotation, mixed SMT, and a measured retracement that never reached a qualifying entry. Right idea, no A+ expression of it.
The Real Win Isn't On The Chart
Three days flat, and no urge to fix it.
In my own words: this is the type of price action you have to be disciplined and stay away from — the old me wouldn't have been able to wait this many days. I'd start feeling FOMO and all kinds of stuff. That's the whole point of the reset. Three sessions in a row with no trade used to be unbearable — it felt like falling behind, and the "catching up" is what actually blew accounts. Now it's just three clean days. The account is untouched, the streak is untouched, and I'm fully available for the day the market finally delivers.
What I Got Right
Called the reach for buyside — that leg delivered
Didn't force the short just because the sweep hit
Required displacement + a PDA retracement, got neither
Read the conflicting SMT as chop, not as signal

Streak clean — Day 8 of 30

The Plan I Wrote
Posted Before The Open
The narrative said the push up was the reach for buyside, not the destination — and named the condition: no sweep, no shift, no trade. The sweep came. The shift didn't. So neither did the trade.

Why Post The No-Trades Too
Three flat days in a row is the part nobody posts — and it's the part that decides whether you're still here in a year. No hype, just process.
