Discipline · Day 9 Of The 30-Day Reset

August 13 — Right Direction, Wrong Path.

This one stings in a way the last three didn't. The narrative called the draw above — the BSL where the orders were stacked — and the market delivered it exactly. Price ran through the London Highs, through the 1H EQH at 30,094, and kept going. The direction was right. But I attached a condition to it: manipulate down into the 4H gap first. That never happened. The market simply went, and I watched a move I called run without me.

August 13 — price ran up all session, the manipulation down never came
MNQ 1m · the draw called in the narrative got taken and exceeded. The path there looked nothing like the one I drew
There was one decent look all day— around the 9:30 area, where price swept the London Highs, printed SMT with ES, and displaced away leaving the First Presented FVG behind. That was the session's trade. Everything after it was continuation into a market that had already made up its mind. The rest of the day was just watching price grind higher with nothing clean to join.
The Honest Part
I was right about where. I was wrong about how.
The bias named the BSL as the draw and the market went and took it. That part of the read was good. What cost me the trade was the shape I insisted on — manipulate down into the 4H BISI first, then reverse up. I wrote that as a condition, not a preference, and when the market skipped it I had no way in.

That is not automatically a mistake. Conditions are what keep you out of bad trades, and I would rather miss a move than force one. But it is worth writing down plainly: a correct directional call that produced zero trades is still a miss, and pretending otherwise is how you stop learning from days like this.
What I Got Right
Called the draw — the BSL delivered
Didn't chase once the move was already extended
No revenge entry after realising I'd missed it
Respected my own written condition
Streak intact — no forced trades in four sessions
Logged the miss honestly instead of reframing it

The Plan I Wrote
Posted Before The Open
Choppy Daily, lean higher, draw at the BSL — but manipulate down into the 4H BISI first. The draw was right. The manipulation never came.

Why Post The Misses Too
Calling a move correctly and still not being in it is the least flattering thing a trader can post. It also happens constantly. No hype, just process.
