Discipline · Day 27 Of The 30-Day Reset
September 9 — Late, But I Didn't Force It.
Woke up late again. No chart, no bias, no session prep — and this time I did the one thing that was actually available to me: nothing. Zero trades. After yesterday, when a late start turned into a long I had no business taking, sitting on my hands was the correct answer. It doesn't make the late start okay — but it does mean the late start only cost me opportunity instead of money.

The Session — Absent, Then Aside
No chart posted · no bias · no trades taken
There isn't much to show, and that's the honest version. I wasn't at the desk in time to build a read, and without a read there is no setup — only shapes on a chart that look like one. A no-trade day because you chose to pass is discipline. A no-trade day because you weren't there is just absence. Today was the second one, and I'm logging it as the second one. The credit I'll take is narrow but real: I didn't try to manufacture a trade out of a morning I hadn't earned.
Two Kinds Of Zero
Standing aside and not showing up produce the same number — and they are not the same day.
The P&L reads the same either way, which is exactly why the journal has to say which one it was. Passing on a bad market is a decision. Missing the market is a default. Today was a default, and pretending otherwise would make this whole record worth less.
What I'll give myself: after yesterday's late-start loss, the pull to "make something happen" was there and I didn't take the bait. That's the right response to the wrong situation. The situation itself — two late mornings back to back — is the thing that actually needs fixing, and it isn't a chart problem. Day 27.

Why Post Every Day
Wins, breakevens, and the days I sit on my hands all get posted. The record only means something if it's complete. No hype, just process.
