Discipline · Day 28 Of The 30-Day Reset

September 10 — Three Setups, One Missing Level.

Third late morning in a row. I got on the charts late, never built a proper read, never posted a pre-market bias — and then took three trades, all shorts, all targeting the SSL below. All three failed. Down 2.8R. Here's the part that matters: the setups themselves were real. Judas swing, CISD, inverse FP FVG — those are my model. What I never saw was the Data High that the 8:30 news printed above us. Unswept highs overhead meant the draw was up, and I spent the whole morning selling toward a target the market had no reason to reach for.

The Three Trades — Good Entries, Wrong Direction
MNQ · all three shorts targeting the SSL below · −2.8R combined
Trade 1: Judas Swing at the open, running out the LRL, then a CISD. Short.
Trade 2: a run on the BSL, then an inverse of the FP FVG. Short.
Trade 3: expansion lower, then a retracement back into a CISD — entered off the CISD. Short.

Read those back and none of them is a sloppy entry. Each one is a legitimate pattern out of my own model, and on a different morning any of them could have paid. That's exactly what makes today worth studying instead of just absorbing. Three correct-looking entries, one shared flaw: they were all pointed down while an unswept draw sat above.
The Lesson
Your entry model tells you where to get in. The draw tells you whether to get in at all.
An unswept Data High above is not a detail — it is the draw. Liquidity sitting untouched overhead is a magnet, and until it's taken, shorts underneath it are swimming upstream no matter how clean the entry looks. My own read on the day says it plainly: if those Data Highs hadn't been there, that SSL probably would have delivered. The setups weren't wrong. The direction was.

And I couldn't have known the direction, because I never charted the level. That's the whole failure, and it happened before the open — not during it. Three late mornings in a row have now produced one forced long, one absent session, and three shorts into the wrong draw. The leak isn't in my entries, it's in my alarm clock. Day 28 of 30, and the reset just told me exactly what the next one has to be about.

Why Post Every Day
Wins, breakevens, and the days I sit on my hands all get posted. The record only means something if it's complete. No hype, just process.
