September 22 — NQ Five Gaps Below, Equal Highs Above

Bullish, and the 4H makes the case on its own. There are five bullish 4H FVGs stacked below price and Equal Highs with buyside resting above. So which is more likely: that we inverse all five of those gaps, or that we rebalance into them and then go take the highs? One of those needs five things to fail in a row.

An ATH run could genuinely be on the way here. Price expanded hard off the Daily BISI below and closed near the highs, and what sits overhead is Low Resistance Liquidity — that descending line of highs with nothing stacked against price on the way up. When the only thing above you is LRL, the trip can be a very nice and easy run. That's the backdrop the lower timeframes are working inside today.

NQ 4H — 4H — Five Bullish Gaps Below, Equal Highs Above

This is the lesson of the day, and it's worth sitting with. Below price there are FIVE bullish 4H FVGs stacked one after another. Above price there are Equal Highs with buyside resting on them. So ask the question honestly: which is more likely — that we inverse all five of those bullish gaps and turn every one of them into resistance, or that we use them to rebalance and then go take the equal highs above? Put like that it answers itself. One outcome needs five things to fail in a row. The other needs one thing to work.

1H1H — Two Ways In, Both Long3 / 3
NQ 1H — 1H — Two Ways In, Both Long

Two paths I'd take, and they're both the same direction. The first is a manipulation lower into the London low, then higher prices off that sweep — that's the cleaner one, because the sweep does the work of clearing the sellside before the move. The second is that we don't get that dip at all and instead use that very long London wick as a Rejection Block, taking higher prices straight from there. Either way the destination is the same. What I'm not doing is looking for shorts underneath a stack of bullish gaps.

The One Thing To Respect

The lesson on the 4H isn't really about today — it's a way of thinking you can use on any chart. When you're weighing two scenarios, count what each one requires. The bearish case here needs price to invert five separate bullish arrays, one after another, each one flipping from support to resistance. The bullish case needs price to do the ordinary thing: dip into a gap, rebalance, and continue toward the liquidity that's sitting right above.

Neither is impossible. But they are not equally likely, and the chart tells you which is which if you stop and count. That doesn't mean I'm long at any price — I still want either the sweep of the London low or the Rejection Block off that wick before I do anything. Direction being obvious is not the same as an entry being available, and the last two weeks have been a long lesson in exactly that difference.
