September 17 — NQ Sweep The BSL, Then Look Short

We've got BSL resting inside a 1H bearish FVG, and price is already pushing up into it. That's an A+ location — but only ifwe actually take the BSL out first and then find shorts. Direction up into the zone isn't the trade. The reaction after the sweep is.

NQ 1D — Daily — BSL Resting Inside A 1H Bearish FVG

The location that matters today: we've run up off the PDL and we're pushing into BSL that sits right inside a 1H bearish FVG, underneath the Daily SIBI further above. Same shape as a few sessions back — buyside liquidity stacked inside a bearish array is a good spot to eye shorts from, but only once that buyside is actually gone. Reaching the zone isn't the signal. Taking it is.

NQ 1H — 1H — The Path: Take The BSL, Then Reverse

Price is already through the PDH and pushing into the two BSL levels stacked just above. The plan is the path drawn on the chart: let it reach up and take that buyside, then look for the shift back down — through the 12am open and the London low area, toward the low 29,300s. My model enters on the reaction to the sweep, not on the climb into it, so nothing before the BSL is taken is a real setup, no matter how clean the push up looks.

The One Thing To Respect

It's tempting to look at BSL sitting inside a bearish FVG and start hunting shorts on the way up — the location alone looks like the setup. It isn't. My model enters on the reaction to a sweep, not on price approaching a level I like. The buyside has to actually get taken — stops run, the resting orders cleared — before there's anything to react to. Shorting into the climb is guessing the top; shorting after the sweep is trading the shift.

So today's patience is specific: let price do the work of reaching up and taking the BSL, then wait for the shift to actually print before doing anything. If the sweep never comes and we just grind higher through the level instead, that's information too — not a setup I force.
