September 15 — NQ Bullish Now, The Short Is Higher
Two stages today, and they point opposite directions. Near-term we're already bullish toward the Asia Highs off a V-shape recovery — and it doesn't look like we get a manipulation lower first, which likely means no long entry for me. The setup I actually want is above: there's BSL resting inside a Daily bearish FVG, and buyside sitting inside a premium array is a very good spot to eye shorts. So the plan is patience in one direction while price travels the other.

1DDaily — BSL Resting Inside A Bearish FVG1 / 2

Here's the location that matters. There's BSL resting inside a Daily bearish FVG above us, and that combination is what makes it interesting: buyside liquidity sitting inside a premium array is a very good spot to eye shorts. Price has to reach up and take that buyside, and it's doing it into a bearish gap — so the magnet and the array are stacked in the same place. That's the level I care about today, and over the next couple of days what I'd like to see is price work up into that upper area, chop around, and then sell off.
1H1H — Already Bullish, And Probably No Manipulation First2 / 2

Intraday we're already bullish and working toward the Asia Highs off a V-shape recovery. The honest part, and it's the same thing that kept me flat yesterday: it doesn't look like we're going to get a manipulation lower before we see higher prices. My model enters on the reaction to a manipulation, not on the direction being right — so if price just grinds up without offering that leg, there is no long entry here for me. Direction up, entry absent. Those two things can both be true at once, and today they probably are.
The One Thing To Respect
The near-term direction being up does not mean I'm long. I'm saying in advance that I don't expect a manipulation lower, and my model enters on the reaction to one — so if price just grinds higher, the correct outcome is that I watch it. That's the exact situation that kept me flat yesterday, and being right about direction is still not an entry.
The other half is harder: don't short early. The setup is BSL inside the Daily bearish FVG — which means price has to actually get up there first. Selling on the way up, before the buyside is taken and before we're in the array, is just fading a bullish leg and calling it a plan. The level does the qualifying, not my opinion about the direction. Price reaches the zone, takes the buyside, then I look. Two trades or −2R, whichever comes first.
